Successful Installation of Specialized Heat Exchangers at Smurfit Westrock in Nettingsdorf, Austria

GIG Karasek has delivered three custom-designed floating head heat exchangers with removable tube bundles for the turpentine system used in pulp production at Smurfit Westrock’s Nettingsdorf facility in Austria. Following intensive planning and production phase, and close coordination with the customer, the units were successfully installed. Commissioning is scheduled for fall 2025.
Thanks to their special floating head design with a removable tube bundle, the heat exchangers offer exceptionally easy cleaning and high maintainability – both key criteria for ensuring reliable operation in continuous processes.
