Another milestone in the BASF-project: First compressor units successfully positioned
GKT has reached another important milestone in the BASF project: the first compressors supplied by Piller have been successfully delivered, lifted into position, and installed at their designated location within the plant. This marks another significant step in the implementation of one of the world’s most powerful industrial large-scale heat pump systems.

The installation of the compressors represents a key milestone in the overall construction progress of the plant. Thanks to meticulous planning and the close collaboration between GKT, BASF, Piller, and all other project partners, this critical installation phase was completed safely and on schedule.
With the compressors successfully installed, the foundation has been laid for the subsequent piping, mechanical installation, and system integration activities. The plant is taking shape, and project execution continues to progress according to plan.
The BASF project once again demonstrates GKT’s expertise in delivering complex large-scale industrial waste heat recovery projects. Together with Piller, GKT has taken another important step towards completing the plant and successfully commissioning this pioneering industrial heat pump system.
