GKT Wins the Lower Austria Innovation Award 2026 with VarioVAP

GKT has been awarded the Lower Austria Innovation Award 2026 for its waste heat recovery technology, VarioVAP. The award ceremony took place on June 9, 2026, at the House of Digitalization in Tulln. The Lower Austria Innovation Award is one of the region’s most prestigious innovation recognitions, honoring market-ready solutions with sustainable industrial impact.

As part of its vision of a zero-waste-heat future, GKT has developed VarioVAP, a comprehensive solution for industrial waste heat recovery. The system consolidates waste heat from different sources and media and transforms it into a valuable, usable energy stream. By utilizing previously unused waste heat, VarioVAP enables companies to significantly reduce their CO₂ footprint while lowering their reliance on fossil-based energy and cooling water.
